9Dragons MMORPG Review
9Dragons - http://9dragons.acclaim.com/
9Dragons is an oriental Martial Arts MMORPG.
The idea's nice...Poorly executed.
Don't get me wrong, I think it's a great game, I just think they could have...tried a bit harder.
The control system is...needlessly complicated. The graphics are...debatable. The engine lags a lot (could be just my computer, but faster games like CS and ROM emulators run perfectly fine with my computer). And I think they could have done a lot better.
It got some good reviews and I may just be knit-picking, but I love the idea; an oriental style based martial arts MMORPG...Great Idea, as I keep saying, but it could have been sooo much sweeter!
If they added a few extra features like:
- An easy control system that gave you more control over your character
- Proper 3D graphics (like in Aion, which was mainly created using 3DStudioMax and ZBrush)
- Easier to understand tutorial at the beginning (Made no sense to me whatsoever.)
I like the game overall but it's poorly executed and could have been a hell of a lot better. Room for improvement. If they made a second I'd be the first to try it. Definitely, without a shadow of a doubt, but their first try has been, at best, good enough for a 6/10 (max).
